Beat the stall...

I’s been a couple weeks now, I thought it was a good time for an update. While, scale wise there really hasn’t been much movement, I am feeling freaking amazing! 🙌🏼
The past two weeks I have noticed a huge increase in energy, better sleeping and overall less body soreness. It’s amazing what 40lbs will do. I’m so excited as I continue feeling the difference losing each pound makes. I feel incredibly fortunate that my healing progression has been really pretty easy and complication free... knock on wood. Im at a point where I feel little to no pain anymore, my incisions are completely closed and scaring great and.... I have officially moved into my “soft food” eating stage. Y’all (yes, I’m it Texas now and adapting to the local lingo) 😆 I cant tell you how excited I was for the soft food stage. That being said, I literally can only eat 3-5 bites and I’m full, but that’s what I signed up for and is a sign that this surgery worked and is doing what is suposed to do.
Okay, let’s get to the struggle... It wasn’t all unicorns and sunshine for the past two weeks. This struggle came in the form of a stall... The dreaded 3 week stall. I guess this is a common thing, but mentally and emotionally I was not prepared. It came a day after my last blog post and lasted 10 days!!! 😳. I was at a loss. I was following the book, doing everything right and my scale was broken... Well, I wished it was broken. There were even days it went up and let me tell you, that was the HARDEST. Not to mention, my amazing husband, the love of my life has been doing this along side me, everything except surgery, and he was losing. EVERYDAY! While I couldn’t lose at all 😏 I finally beat the stall and the scale started to move again. PHEW! I was about to ask for a refund, JK. But I was sure (thanks google) that I was part of the 2% the surgery didn’t work for. I’m glad to say, so far I’m part of the 98% and it’s working.
Here is a little face to face comparison. The first pic is 1 week prior to surgery and the second pic is today 😊 Im still not totally seeing it, but I’m feeling it and that is what matters right now.

Cheers (with my water) to 40lbs lost forever! 🎉
